CPaSS Seller Protection

This Seller Protection is an initiative designed to safeguard eBay sellers’ metrics from any delivery delays which occurred due to operational issues of carriers on CPaSS.

What are the eligibility criteria?

  • Seller’s registration country should be in TH, VN, PH, MY, SG, ID
  • Transaction should have been fulfilled on CPaSS (Tracking number generated and updated to eBay system via CPaSS)
  • Transaction date should be within the specified protection period (Starting: 1st February 2023)
  • Acceptance scan (AScan) should be received within handling time

What defects are covered under CPaSS Seller Protection?

  • Late Shipment Rate (“LSR”)
  • Item Not Received (“INR”)
  • Negative Neutral Feedback (“NNFB”) related to LSR / INR will be removed from the seller’s feedback profile page and seller dashboard

How does it work?

  • CPaSS Seller Protection is automated i.e., eBay sellers’/account managers do not need to file an appeal

Where can a seller appeal if automatic CPaSS Seller Protection is not applied to a transaction that meets the eligibility criteria?

What is the validity period of CPaSS Seller Protection?

  • CPaSS Seller Protection is valid for a specific period and subject to change
  • The present validity period is till 31st July 2023 i.e., all transactions booked till 31st July 2023 on CPaSS will be protected, subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria

What is acceptance scan? When is it received?

Acceptance scan (also known as “pickup scan” / “validation scan”) is received against a shipment when a validated carrier picks up the shipment and updates the status as “shipment picked up”

Do all carriers provide acceptance scan?

No. Only eBay recognized (validated) carriers get acceptance scan. All the shipments of carriers that are currently integrated with eBay CPaSS, such as Aramex, DHL Express, and Thailand Post receive acceptance scans.


Is Case Closed Without Seller Resolution (“CCWSR”) covered under CPaSS Seller Protection?

No. CCWSR defects are not covered under CPaSS Seller Protection. Sellers should proactively co-ordinate with eBay buyers and close any case before it escalates and becomes CCWSR defect.
